You can now get a DVD-Rom containing all the sounds available here (and many more) in native format (Wav 44 Khz 16 bits or 92 Khz 32 bits float). Click here to see precisely what it is, and how to proceed.
Sound files are in OGG Vorbis format, the open-source alternative to MP3 (for more information about it, click here).
If you work with this format, I highly suggest you to use Audacity.
Otherwise, you can use OGGdrop to convert the OGG files into Wave or Aiff
Hint : for quality purpose, the sound files are compressed in variable bitrate. Download them before listening to them.
